It’s the season of biopics in Tollywood. After the massive success of ‘Mahanati’, biopics on NTR, and YSR have been announced and they are in the last stages of completion. While NTR’s biopic has already garnered unprecedented craze with its stellar star cast, YSR’s biopic ‘Yatra’ isn’t making any waves as it had no interesting star cast except Mammootty who is reprising YSR’s role.
Now, to attract the audience, the makers are planning to rope a star hero for the role of YSR’s son and YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. Earlier, there were speculations that either Surya or Karthi might reprise Jagan’s role, but as per the latest update, the youth sensation Vijay Deverakonda has been approached for the role and he is yet to give his nod.
If Vijay Deverakonda accepts the role, it would be a big boost for the makers as he’s riding high with back to back blockbusters and his inclusion would definitely help in great openings. The movie is expected to hit the screens on 21st December on the occasion of YS Jagan’s birthday.
