The #MeToo movement which started in Hollywood a year ago has now spread to Indian cinema and several actresses have come forward to share their unsavory experiences. With the movement increasing day by day, several Bollywood heroes like Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar, and Hrithik Roshan have decided not to work with filmmakers on whom the allegations were set.
But, surprisingly senior actor and politician Kamal Haasan has a different view on #MeToo movement. Though he welcomed the protest, Kamal Haasan opined that it’s not fair for someone to fight for others. The senior actor also said that it would be fair to listen to the accused’s explanation before turning judgmental.
The #MeToo movement is on the rise since Bollywood actress Tanushree Dutta accused Nana Patekar misbehaving with her on the sets of a movie. She was followed by singer and dubbing artist Chinmayi Sripada who alleged the popular Tamil lyricist harassed sexually.
